Boiler Room takes its name from its home — a below-street level space in the historic York Rite Building at 311 W 7th Street, one of downtown Austin's oldest addresses. The result is a hideaway that feels removed from the noise above: a mix of seating, warm brass fixtures, and the slow curl of pipe smoke.

This is a lounge built around the ritual, not the rush. Whether you're breaking in a new pipe or working through a private humidor selection, the room is yours to slow down in.

The Boiler Room Smoking Lounge is a bring-your-own venue for cigars, pipe tobacco, and beverages. We supply the lounge space, the seating, and, for members, their locker.

Open to the public Thursday through Saturday, and available around the clock to members through private locker access.

No — the lounge is open to the public Thursday through Saturday, Noon to 8:00 PM. Membership is only required for access outside of those hours and for a personal locker.

Guests are welcome any time when accompanied by a member, but must leave when the member leaves. Outside of that, the lounge is open to the public only during business hours (Thursday – Saturday, Noon – 8:00 PM).
